July 16 we flew up to Oregon to visit the Hicks family. We hiked out along the river that evening, eating wild blackberries as we went.

July 17 we headed out to the coast. Our first stop was Starfish Cove at Agate Beach.

We had dinner at a crab shack on the coast. Carter opted for the whole crab.
